Sandra's Story
Hey, I was the girl everyone knew as Milo's sister. Well I started working at City of Phoenix and retired after 34 + years. I retired as a Neighborhood Preservation Inspector and was on a team to revitalize downtown and Garfield neighborhood. I did the code enforcement on our old stomping grounds! I started at Phoenix Police and worked 911, then fingerprinted in the old city jail and classified fingerprints. I also did statistics for the FBI. Other departments I worked for were Public Works, (customer service for Recycling and Garbage, contracts for Fire Department) Streets Department, (checked washes, enforced broken sidewalks, dirt cleaning from construction, measuring of speed humps, and checked for street lightiing request). ired. No honestly, I loved every job I had. After retirement I volunteered for AARP, helping people find jobs, and Meals on Wheels, delivering meals.
I have been travelling since I retired and have visited several places.
I try to stay busy but as you know age starts slowing us down and I am fighting it all the way. lol.
I am happiest with my daughter, family, and friends, love listening to music, still trying to dance, going to the movies and grubbing with amigos
We had a successful fifty year reunion for the class of 1967. It was great seeing so many of our classmates. Around 200 showed up. We missed the rest of you, We had so much fun reconnecting. Coyotes are the best!
