I married Ron Rakin after school. We have 4 children, 3 girls and one boy. I was a stay at home Mom until I needed adult company and got a part time job working in a medical office. I had no idea that I had found my true calling. I worked at an Urgent Care Center and 20 years later I was still there. I became a medical assistant and then took over in an administrative capacity. I loved every minute of it. In 1991 Ron was hit by a Long Island Railroad train and suffered traumatic brain injury.
