Sandra Helm:  

married inn 1981 to musician/actor Levon Helm of the music group The Band. Was able to travel some great places and was so happily married for our entire time together. So sad to say that Levon died of cancer April 19, 2012, and my life has been an awfully sad place since he has been gone. I used to be the senior superlative for the best dressed, and i also had the office duties each morning in my senior year to pass out the absentee sheets to the teachers to see who was really present in school and who was skipping classes. The class of '67 at Langley was lucky enough to be the first students attending the school when it was built. when we started classes there, there was no senior class, so we got to be the "top cats" for TWO years for when we were juniors there were no seniors to high hat us, we were the highest grade there as juniors, then of course as seniors in 1967. It was great starting a brand new school, it was spanking clean and we were the first kids there that got to leave our "marks" whatever they were on the school for life...Expand for more
