Sandra's Story
Married to Raymond Kimball for 43 years (44 Dec. 7); we have a yours, mine and ours (2, 3, 1) family; 6 grandchildren and 2 fur babies, Auggie a black lab and Missy a rescue redbone coon hound. Hubby is a retired Navy W-4 aviation officer; I spent 30 years as a journalist working for community newspapers all over the US; we finally settled in Murphy, NC 16 years ago where I was employed as an editor of a local newspaper, served as executive director of local chamber and now work 3 days at the Murphy Visitor Center (Tourism Development ...Expand for more
Authority), active at Shepherd of the Mountains Church and other community service activities. Fortunate to have experienced much life has to offer, the good and the bad, and thankful for every day I wake up healthy and happy. Hope to attend the luncheon in Oct. 2017 but this is the busy season in the Western North Carolina Mountains! Many Floridians are moving out of the sunshine state to NC and many have second homes here. There are a few of us old "Dragons" roaming around. Class of '64 well represented. My new motto: "Be the Change."
