Sandra Nix:  

After I finished Easley High School in the summer of 1966, I worked as a cashier at Bi-Lo Store on Liberty Drive in Easley, SC and for over 22 years I worked for the Singer Company, which later was sold to Ryobi Motor Products, Div. I met a wonderful guy from Pickens, SC whose name was Richard Nix. We married in 1968, had 2 wonderful daughters. My husband drove trucks and I traveled with him. In 1978, my husband was called into the ministry. We served faithfully in 6 different Southern Baptist Churches, a radio and tent ministry and Chaplain of the Spartanburg and Pickens County Law Enforcement as well as Chaplain at the Easley Police Department. He was bi-vocational for several pastorates. He owned a trucking company in 2000 while he wasn't pastoring and again we traveled most of the time to many (33) states and Canada.
