Sandra's Story
I've always loved animals. For anyone who remembers me from high school, I worked at the Stone Mountain Game Ranch in my Junior and Senior year. I'll never forget the look on my parents' faces when I brought home a fawn to spend the night (we were bottle-feeding it at the Ranch, and it was my turn), or the time I brought home Opie, the opossum.
After all these years, I still think working at the Game Ranch was the hardest (physical) work I have ever done, but at the same time, the most rewarding. From carting around feed buckets and "giving tours", to being spurred by a turkey, how many people today can say they've done this?

enever I'm able to retire. Yes, I'm one of those people who totally believe you should spay or neuter your pet. It breaks my heart to know that pets are considered "throw-a-aways" when they are no longer a cute kitten or puppy, or the owners discover that it is much harder work and upkeep when it comes to owning a pet!
Anyway, still working hard in the heating and air field as an administrative assistant in Buford, and a couple of years ago found my dream job working for a Christian couple who openly display the Bible in our reception area. Until I met my current bosses, I didn't know a company in the "trades" could operate without having at least 1 cuss word in every sentence. My boss truly "walks the talk", and what a blessing to have our faith openly discussed and my own walk with the Lord prayed over and encouraged!
I hope all my former classmates are doing well, and in the immortal words of Spock: "live well and prosper."
