Sandra's Story
After graduation, I worked in Omaha as a secretary for an insurance company. I married my husband, Randy, in 1969 and spent the next 20 years as a military wife. We were quite lucky to be stationed in amazing places - 3 years in San Vito, Italy; 3 years on the island of Crete, Greece; and 3 years on Terceira island in the Azores, Portugal as well as assignments in Virginia, Texas and Illinois.. We continue to love traveling, especially cruising every chance we get. We have been blessed with 3 terrific sons - all married - who have given us 8 beautiful grandchildren. bomb squad and SWAT team in the Boise area as well as a reservist in the U.S. Marine Corps, and youngest son, Corey, is a corrections officer at the medium security prison here. My husband was also an Ada County Sheriff's deputy in Boise after retiring from the military. After 15 years as a church secretary/wedding coordinator, I worked as a secretary for the Meridian School District. Both of us are retired and enjoy the freedom to enjoy the grandkids, travel and do the things we love. We've been very fortunate in our busy lives, and wouldn't trade a minute of it. We get back to C.B. every few years, but love living in Idaho. It is so beautiful and a great place to raise a family. Life has been very good!
