Went to Due West as expected since I lived in walking distance, then off to Jr. High. Then my parents destroyed my life by moving me to Texas, where I never fit in.
College
Way too much education, but I still can't spell worth a damn.
Workplace
Sailed in the Merchant Marine for four years after college. Coast...Expand for more
Guard for five years, two months, and 28 days. But who was counting. To graduate school for a while, then back to going to sea. Made second mate (finally). Made Chief Mate shortly thereafter. I became a master (captain) finally. Currently sailing off the board as chief mate with Master, Mates and Pilots. Sailing mostly with Horizon Lines. Looking for a permanent job.
Military
Went Crazy and joined the Coast Guard, when shipping got tight in the Merchant Marine. Stationed at Brant Point, MA, Stationed at First Coast Guard District Headquarters. Escaped!!!! Married the guy from Readiness and Reserve who handled my records when I went into the CG reserves.
