Life I married shortly after graduating and moved to Romeoville in 1970 right after having my first child, Dan. Four years later my beautiful daughter, Laura, was born. I loved every minute of them growing up. After 18 years of marriage, life moved on and I, in turn, moved to Port Charlotte, FL (of August 13, 2003's Hurricane Charlie fame) with my fiancé, Rich. It turns out we grew up in the same "Back of the Yards" neighborhood in Chicago and had amazingly similar backgrounds. I enjoyed 13 wonderful years with him until he died at age 48 after a long illness. Over the years I've been an executive secretary for bank and company presidents, attorneys, custom-home contractors, and had my own secretarial/word processing business. I learned so much from taking care of my husband all those years, I even studied to become a nurse for a year… but somehow life got in the way.
