Sandra's Story
I worked for the State of Colorado for 35 years and retired on March 31, 2008. I am currently taking care of my mother full time and hope to hear from some of my old friends. I am married to Robert Herrera who also worked for the state for 35 years and retired 6 years ago. He is currently working full time at the Northside WalMart in Pueblo, Colorado. I have two sons, Eric who is 35 years old and Shaun who is 32 years. I have 9 grandchildren one of which is adopted but not living with me. (Long story and I don't have the space to tell it here.) and is Donald R. Sinks who also graduate from La Junta High School. We keep in touch and he is currently living in Denver. I love to read and latch hug rugs. I graduate from La Junta High in 1968 and Otero Junior College in 1970, where I obtained my AA degree in Business Administration. I then went on to USC-Pueblo; and left it with only my student teaching left to continue on to get my Bachelors degree. Stupid me left to get married and never returned.
During my 35 years of state service I worked totally in Human Resources devoting my working life to benefits and workman's compensation.
