Sandra's Story
Well here goes the catch up. It's now 2009 I'm still living on the farm with my husband John DeWys and son Jonathon Paul. My daughter Sheri Ann eloped last July 4 2008 and has had her own house just outside of Zeeland for 4 yrs now.
As most know, I was in a car accident in 1994 and am disabled because of spinal cord injuries. We build a new house just before the accident ( would have built it handicapped accessable )
I really love living and being a part of farm life. That may surprise some of you. I miss being out in the field with everybody else now that I can't go.
John still works at Haworth 32 yrs now and farms on the side. He'd rather be milking cows, but that doesn't pay the bills, so to the factory he had to go.

in Holland. We are glad they both have good jobs in this economy.
Attend Central Wesleyan and Engedi Churches in Holland.
Active in the Cushings awareness Assoc. and uplift those newly dx with this disease.
Retired from all 4-H positions due to
disability. State 4-H volunteer Rep Ottawa County, 4-H leader Livestock Ottawa County. 4-H State Vet Science Committee and State Livestock Committee. I truely miss the kids. Not the local, bickering/selfish leaders,Loved the State Committee's!, were just awsome to work on, I miss them! I miss staying up with the 4-H kids by my trailer and the water fights w/the kids! Just a kid at heart yet I guess!
Live goes on..God is Close to me every day. I've seen heaven once, can't wait to go anain for good next time!
