Life
It has been an interesting life, nothing spectacular, but busy. After 30 years of being a Vermilion elementary school librarian, I retired in July, 1998. No, I haven't joined the ranks of the leisurely set; I still work two part-time jobs, one as the church organist (I've been at that for 35 years!) and one as a part-time educational services area representative for a four county area for WVIZ/PBS, the Cleveland public television station. In that capacity, I travel to the various schools, troubleshoot, deliver materials, answer questions, etc. My newest venture, and a scary one, I must admit, is trying to start an historical society and archives for the city of Vermilion. en married 34 years this August 20th and are the parents of Christopher, Teresa, Leslie Ann, and Debra, ages 31 to 19. (We really spread them out.) Christopher has a stepdaughter who is 13, going into 8th grade, and a son, age 6, going into 1st. Teresa lives in Raleigh, N.C., and is still hoping to enter vet school. Leslie is a nail technician, married with two little ones, ages 3 and 20 months - two really active little stinkers. Debra lives in West Salem, Ohio, surrounded by the Amish, and horses are the love of her life. Jerry works for Invacare in Elyria as a computer records specialist in the engineering dept. and probably has five years to go until he can retire. Life is busy, but simple, and that's fine.
