Sandy's Story
As many of you may know, I was married to Howie Soifer for more than 30 years. We moved to Michigan in the mid-70's so Howie could attend Law School. He became an accomplished attorney and we created a wonderful life in a great college town--East Lansing, Michigan. We raised two daughters, have wonderful friends, actively supported the Spartans of Michigan State University, participated in our community, and we truly enjoyed our life. In 2001, Howie was diagnosed with cancer and he died nearly 2 years later.

years. Recently, I became the Executive Director of the Michigan Women's Hall of Fame--a small museum in Lansing, Michigan's Capitol City. I have a wonderful circle of close friends, I love to travel, and I am very close to my two daughters. My daughter Halie, (30) is married and she and her husband Andrew live in Washington, DC. Halie is the Foreign Policy Advisor for Senator Ted Kaufman from Delaware. Marci is 27 and she is an Assitant Camp Director. She lives in NYC 9 months and in Poughkeepsie at camp for 3 months each year.
