Sandy's Story
Life
Married to John Clayton...pastor & pastor's wife in Wellington, Ks. about 9 yrs....Evangelical Baptist Missions missionaries for 25 yrs., about 16 yrs. in France, past eight with inner-city Bible College in Kansas City...travel back to France every year for a month (John teaches), and to Haiti every January (John teaches, I write & draw, maybe will teach a women's class next year)...4 children (one 28 yr. old son,Nathan... his twin sister, Meredith... one 33 yr. old daughter,Rachel... and one 30 yr. old daughter,Rebekah...one daughter-in-law,Maureen, two sons-in-law,Rocky and Ryan, 5 grandchildren, from a year and a half to five years...I write and do some editing for a Christian magazine and do other freelance writing...I am an artist (oils, water-color, pen-and-ink,pastel)...and just sold four more pai...Expand for more
ntings :) ... I play the guitar (for myself and very few friends!)...love to cook, read and visit thrift stores and garage sales...and we have one French "mutt" who still understands two French commands.
College
Remember that big rubber spider under your pillow, Carolyn? Oh, my gosh - I still feel awful about that!!! And, Ouida, where ARE you??? Remember when you guys pushed me in the shower to stop my hysterics after we'd seen that guy getting stabbed, coming back to campus one night!? And, horror of horrors........you left me with Miss Willems, the Dean of Women, and I woke up the next morning in her apartment (where she'd told me to sleep to make sure I was alright). Miss Willems! We DID have some "experiences", didn't we??? :) (Of course, there were the usual classes, papers to write, exams, etc.)
