Sandy's Story
My Life = Are we getting old yet?
I always wanted to be a teacher since a very young age. My mom thought that was a bad idea because I would be an old maid with no kids or husband. As it turns out, she was partially right.
:)I should of first became a teacher, before marrying my husband and two others that were lazy couch potatoes. But I do have three children who I would never give up with two wonderful grandkids. The only problem is one of my kids is just like me when I was in my 20's early 30's and has caused me many a sleepless nights, pain and discontent ;) My mom use to tell me what goes around comes around, and wow was she right, because this one has sent me to crazytown and back. I was a so good at picking people who did not work, hold jobs and they were not exactly an inspiration for anyone. Do not get me wrong. I did not initially meet them this way. I learned too late once you get them in the house, it is very difficult to get them out. I have not really dated much as I now am men-aphobic. I do hope that one day I could find a nice guy to date and be friends with who has quite a bit in common. I have realized it has to be a person who gets to know me as a friend first.
I am a full time Business Computer Teacher and work Adult Ed two nights a week and drawing unemployment until things get better in this world. Have three ...Expand for more
kids, and two grandkids named Madison and Alexis. Enjoying life at this time. Because of our recession and economy I am now part of the partially unemployed and will find out this Wed about my Adult Ed job. Teachers are no longer needed according to our Governor nor are Fireman, and Police Officers and the list goes on. There is going to be a different world for our students (children) in the education field with no monies to support them, example: why have music in the school when you as a parent can send them somewhere for music lessons and pay for it yourself. What ever you can pay for the school will not provide. Back to the basics math, English no supplies and you bring your own everything.
In school I do not recall having any big crush on any one person. As far as a teacher inspiration, NONE. My happiest moments in school was hanging out with Arlene Wolcott from Norco HIGH. And did have my best friend CATHY BUCHANAN..... ;)
Two pople from my past that I would love to see would be Mary Lewis. I have searched for her for years. I have found everyone except for her. The last time I talked to her she was living in Anaheim near disneyland.
I also have to add David Ellis, David was a friend of mine, he used to be a Riverside Police Officer but no longer. If you know where David is could you please tell him HI for me.
