Sandy's Story
Life has surprised me along the journey. I could not imagine working with people in grief. Due to the pain of death loss in my own life as a youth, it was hard enough to imagine getting through my own stuff, much less help someone else. Today, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor trained in play therapy and work with children, youth and families dealing with all kinds of losses. It is hard work at times, yet satisfying beyond words.
I have been married 25 years to Aubrey. Our oldest daughter Ashlea, graduated from Abilene Christian University in May 2008, our second child, Michelle, just completed her freshman year at Oklahoma Christian University. Our special late in lifer child, Austin, just finished 1st grade. We tell everyone we got a head start on our grandkids!!

s, and I cant believe I am old enough to have kids out of high school. WOW! Life happens fast.
One of my favorite teachers, Jack Cannon, who taught choir, passed away this year and I was fortunate enough to attend the funeral. At his service, some 40-50 TJ alums sang "The Lord Bless You and Keep You". This song was a traditional ending song in choir concerts. There wasn't a dry eye anywhere.
Marilyn Nease, another favorite English teacher, is currently at Trinity High School in Hurst Euless Bedford School District. I keep up with her due to mutual friends who teach with her and I live in the area.
Coach Andy Cargille retired from his Principal position at Trinity High School last December, ran for the Hurst Euless Bedord School Board and won.
I hear through mutual friends that Coach Gerald Turner is still active in sports.
