Sara's Story

Life After High School I went to SRJC for a year then moved to southern CA with my folks. I didn't like it much down there so I transferred to UC Santa Cruz where I finished my bachelor's degree. I'm now living in Roseburg, OR. I love it up here. I work as a lab assistant. I am an award winning bellydancer and teacher. I am engaged to be married in September, 2006. School High school was a time of transition. We were all trying to figure out who we were. Ballet kept me out of trouble. The years seemed to drag on at the time, but looking back they went by pretty fast. I enjoyed watching all of you express yourselves. I miss having you guys over for pool parties. reat experience. Living downtown for two years was a blast. Studying on the beach wasn't bad either! Yes, I did have a chance to work on my tan, not that anyone would notice. I wish I had been there longer, but I wouldn't go back and change a thing. Workplace While in college I worked mostly retail and secretarial jobs. After graduating from UCSC I moved to Roseburg where I started doing insurance billing at a medical supply store. I decided I wanted more hands-on experience with patients so I went into phlebotomy. (That's drawing blood) I work for a Quest Diagnostics laboratory and I collect blood and process all kinds of specimens. I like my job because I'm helping people. I also teach bellydancing at the local arts center.
