Sara's Story
Life
After leaving Sullivan High School, I attended Southwest Missouri State University and earned a MBA in Finance & Marketing. During my final year at SMSU, I met my husband (Andy Foster--Mountain View, MO) and we married in Springfield in August of 1999. Upon graduation, I began work at MCI WorldCom (now Verizon) and maintained employment for 8 years.
In 2002, Andy took a position with Koch Industries and we moved to Chicago. In August of 2002, we had our first child, a boy named Camden Wayne Foster. In 2004, Andy's job transferred him to Wichita, Kansas. In 2005, we had our second child,...Expand for more

During all of our moves, I maintained my employment with MCI/Verizon, but in Spring of 2007, I left my job to become a stay-at-home mom. Now the adventures have begun. As a stay-at-home mom, I quickly realized that I would need some hobbies to keep me sane and to satisfy my Type A personality, so I started training for and competing in Triathlons and running races. To date, I have completed 1 Triathlon and multiple races including a 1/2 Marathon. My goal is to complete a full marathon in 2 years (when my training buddies quit having babies of their own!!!).
