Sara's Story

Life Wow, a lot has changed for me since high school. In 2005, I moved from Duluth to Bangalore, India and got married. Vijay and I are living happily here but have plans to return to the states within the next three years. Life here is different, so simple, I guess you could almost say it's "back to basics". It's been quite an adjustment for me, but I'm doing well. Getting used to the weather is a whole other story. Coming from Esko/Duluth where you actually get snow, to a place where the winter is almost like the summer your use to, is mind blowing. Right now we are in summer and it's so hot. Monsoon season is right around the corner so that will be interesting to see how I fair during that. I always dreamed of seeing parts of the world and now I am. It's a far cry from where I was when I was still in high school, causing trouble and having no direction in life. Now I work in the medical field and love it, I'm living in a whole new country and treasuring every experience, and i guess you could say I'm a whole new person these days. Life has a funny way of changing us. School Who didn't I have a crush on in high school. I always had a crush on the "unattainable" or the one's I knew my parent's would hate. As far as the teacher that inspired me the most, that would have to be "Jaws". He taught me how to actually use my artistic abilities to vent out my frustrations and feelings and I still use it today. I still d...Expand for more
raw and even plan on taking up painting again. I just wish I had the time, money, and space for a pottery wheel, that was my true outlet. I don't think he really realizes how many students he inspires. My funniest, happiest, and craziest school memories were every day. If I had it to do all over again, I would be a little more kind, not take so many things for granted, and most of all, be proud of who i am. Every day I went to school never proud of who I was, so I took it out on people around me in any way I could think of. It's not something I'm pround of, but it's a lesson I learned. Be Kind. College I graduated Duluth Business University with honors in 2004, which was pretty amazing to me. I loved college. I love learning about medicine. I still plan on getting my RN, and then my PhD in medical research. I'll be going back to school for my RN in 3 years, when we move to the states from here (Bangalore, India). It's extremely hard to get into medical school here, so the options are limited to when we get back to the US. Workplace I had to leave my job working with the mentally disabled, when I decided to move to Bangalore, India. I miss the clients. It's kind of funny how you end up taking little pieces of people with you wherever you go. Right now I'm in the process of getting my work Visa here so I can join a clinical research company. I will be happy to get back to work, a lot of idle time right now.
