Sarah's Story
Pat David Smith and I were dating during high school and then married on 9/17/1963. We had a daughter very early in our marriage; then Patrick went on to college and worked; and I worked for the government so he could get through college. Then in 1970 when he graduated, we pulled up stakes and moved to Golden, Colorado, where we still live and feel it is our paradise.

1978 (14 years 21 days later, we had a second daughter and my career took a back seat! Then two years later, we had another daughter. Also during this time, 1979, we decided to start our own business and Mountainsmith was born. We owned it until 1992, sold it and then started another one in 1994, Kifaru.
We have a granddaughter, 24 and a grandson 20; and a new granddaughter on the way! Life is good and Patrick and I will be married 46 years in September!
