Sarah's Story
Back then my home life was a nightmare, and school life wasn't much better. I spent SO much time looking for a way out, mentally, emotionally, physically. I didn't really pay too much attention to the consequences, for myself or those around me.
I didn't know what real love, loyalty or appreciation looked like because that was so far from my experience. Learning to recognize it has taken a very long time - and even longer to trust in it. So, I'm sending out much Love & big Hugs to those of you who genuinely cared & offered me your friendship & love. Married since '93, and having our "miracle" child 9 yrs later has enriched my life beyond measure!
I love being a mom (although I admit that less & less now that we've hit the teen years!!), and love working to recover children on the Autism Spectrum. I also work with adults facing the end of life (Hospice), and with adults & children as a Reiki Practitioner. It's an amazing experience to have a child with Autism invite you into their world so you can help them find their way out. Same goes for the women & men who allow me to share their journey at the end of their lives - helping them to find peace and even joy for themselves and their families is such a privilege!
