Sarah's Story

After high school, I went to Ball State. I graduated in 2001, and then decided to delay the "real world" by going to grad school at IUPUI. I finished my masters in public affairs-nonprofit management in 2003. During that time I spent a summer in Washington, DC for an internship-- easily one of the best experiences of my life. it wasn't for me, and then moved on to a job in disability claims for Liberty Mutual in March of 2005. In July 2005 the company decided to downsize my department, but offered me a transfer to the office in Kansas City, Mo. I decided... why not?? I've been here about 2 years now, and it's ended up being the best decision I could have made. I was recently promoted to a team manager, and I am now living with my boyfriend, Chris-- who I met in KC. We have a dog, Daphne, and overall, life is good....
