Sarah's Story
Life
With no clue what to do in college and no money to do it, I joined the Navy right out of high school. I was in through the (1st) Gulf War - though I did not deploy.
As a mechanic in the military, I found a clue and decided on engineering major when I left the military and started school. Health issues cropped up two years into college and so came an opportunity to reevaluate my career choice.

, moved to Seattle, married and started a family within a year's time. By the time my son was three, I then settled on a business major and finished another 2-1/2 years of night school while working full time, graduating in 2002. We divorced six months later.
Since then I have worked on various information technology projects in the Greater Seattle area, spending most of my time at Microsoft. My son is now 10 and I am a happily single mom.
