Sarah's Story
After a tour in the U.S. Navy, (Washington D.C., London UK, Brawdy Wales) I had a position at The World Bank and as a contractor (Trainer/Instructor) with TSA training airport security screeners after September 11. I am a happily retired disabled veteran. At present I am still in Jacksonville, FL, loving life near the beach.
After being determined 100% disabled by the VA, I can no longer be employed. As a result, I can no longer use my degree in English and Education to teach, as that was my plan to do upon leaving TSA. So now I spend...Expand for more
my spare time volunteering as a mentor to a high school student, and as a reading tutor to 2nd and 3rd graders through the YMCA Reads program and with the Learn to Read program in Duval County, I am a tutor and member of the Board of Directors. I love giving back to my community by mentoring and tutoring reading.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling the US and Europe, mostly England, Scotland, France, and Wales. I travel to places where I still have military friends. A better way to visit without paying high hotel prices overseas. ð
