Sarah's Story

I have lived in Providence, RI for the last 39 years. I have three kids. I loved my job as a middle school librarian which I've been doing for 13 years. Retired June '14. I try to help kids survive middle school - at least, better than I did at Wayne Junior High in the early 60s! One motivating factor in that is how awfully I was treated by Meredith Mercer. was the pits. Don't worry, I use the old angst and transform it into empathy and sympathy. My husband is an archaeologist, and always good for interesting conversations. My interests are: the ACLU and civil liberties, and I was a RI board member for 9 years, and American Friends Service Committe, again, on the board, and lobbying for support for libraries. I read a lot.
