Life
I'm five years into my second career--teaching third graders in Virginia. I love it, although the pay could be better! My first career was Journalism. I worked in Bethlehem for awhile after graduating from Rutgers and then worked in Philadelphia. After a few years, I returned to school to study sign language and elementary education. looking. I travel to Pennsylvania as often as I can to see my family and friends but I'm really happy in Virginia. I'm involved in ALOT of community activities. My motto is "Stop me before I volunteer for something else!"
I'M NOW TEACHING 5TH GRADE READING IN FAUQUIER COUNTY, VIRGINIA. IT'S MY FIRST YEAR AND SO FAR, SO GOOD.
THIS YEAR (2007-08), I'M A THIRD GRADE TEACHER. HUGE TRANSITIONAL YEAR FOR KIDS!!! PLUS SOLs (STATE TESTING).
