Scott's Story
Life
Hi, this is Scott. I have been living in
San Francisco since 1989, when i
joined Genentech as a fresh Ph.D.
Since then, i have had a number of
jobs in the biotech industry, most
recently as VP Operations at a
start-up.
My marriage ended just after our 10
year anniversary. I have two
gorgeous, smart, witty, and fun girls,
Cara (9) and Charlotte (6), and i am
the primary caregiver. It is the best
thing i have ever done.
I have been fortunate in life to have

aveled a lot, and to have had
several sub-careers as a teacher,
photographer, painter, poet, and
hopefully years from now-a novelist.
It is never boring.
I envy those of you still living in
Michigan, many on multi acre farms.
However, i frequently ask myself: if i
could live anywhere in the world,
where would it be. I always answer:
here in SF.
