Scott's Story
After high school I studied aviation at San Jose State University. Upon graduation I was hired by the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller. I lived in Florida and South Carolina, then moved back to California and worked at SJC and SFO Towers, as well as Bay Approach control. I now live outside of Portland, Oregon on a couple of acres, working at PDX Tower and Approach. I plan to retire in a year, which will be 33 years in the FAA. 23 years, and God has blessed us with a 22 year old son, and 20 year old daughter. My son is also in the aviation industry and my daughter is a cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Our family enjoys international travel, hiking, biking and volunteering at our church. We have also raised five black lab puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind, of which we now have the latest one, that did not make the program, to our benefit of course.
