Scott's Story

To all out there in Classmate land welcome and a big thank you goes to all who has shown me luv on my profile. I know it has been a minute since I updated this thing. I guess at the ripe a of 30 I'm starting to feel a little nostalgic. But ya gotta say I look pretty damn good for my age. At least I think so. Anyway how the hell is everyone. For my Dewey fam it has been 12 years, wow. For my Bishopville fam 11 years, DAYUM!! I look back at what I was and what I am now and I would have called someone a liar if they had told me I would be doing what I am doing now. Now for those who remember me wouldn't even imagine my scrawny becoming a Marine. Well believe it or not the skinny kid from Dewey did have some fight in him and took the plunge. From there my life has change dramatically. I have been places that most people only see on T.V. My life has been an adventure ever since. Traveling has been so much fun for me. Go see the world. It is more beautiful and adventurous than you could ever imagine. The pics you seen me in were pics of me in Iwo To (changed from Iwo Jima) Japan. It's hallowed ground for Marines. Being there and seeing the land made most of us out there realize how hard it was for marines to fight in such rough terrain and it made us really appreciate those who fought for our freedom. Okay enough dramatics for one profile, point is see the world if you haven't yet. It's bigger the your block and you deserve to see it. Now it's been a while since I have been back to the N.Y. since 2004. For those who are still holding it down back on the block or still reppin the stoop how has it changed? How have all of you dhanged? I apologize to all my Bville peeps if you feel I am not showing you as much love. Though I appreciate your hospitality that you shown me and my fam when we move down there. You all know how to make a up north dude feel welcomed and much love goes out to ya. But my N.Y. fam is who I grew up with. Some of these cats and dawgs I knew since He-man underwear days and British Knights. Most of the cats and dawgs I knew and Butter Crunch cookies and chocolate milk days. From school lunches in the summer and after school program days. Hell some of these peeps I cut class and school with for the first time. So to my fam in S.C. I do got love for you please believe. But I got to keep it real with my heart, and that's N.Y. to the fullest. Don't me to disrespect. Just keepin it real. Now I was looking and at the story ideas and one of them caught my eye. What ever happened to my first crush. Now for those of you who do remember me I was not exactly lucky with the ladies. Most of the time I was too busy being picked on (sometimes by the ladies), or running home from the bullies throwing rock at me. Not exactly boyfriend material. But believe it or not I did like the ladies. To this day after being half way around the world I still say that NY has the finest women in the world and I had the privilege to go to school with them. Though I liked a lot of you there was one that captured my heart since grade school. She was there all the way through high school. I was so in love with her that I even participated in activities that I would not normally do just to see her. Most of the time she was with her friends so I could not get a world in. Most of the time I was just to shy to speak. ...Expand for more
The whole butterflies in the stomach, weak knees and tounge tied thing would happen to me times one million and I would be through. Also, as I stated earlier, not being exactly boyfriend material made it worse. It was only when I was able to sit two seats away from her on the bus, or when she would grace me with her presence and honor me with a kind greeting while passing her in the hallway was I able to utter a world. I remember one time I was riding home on the bus and I seen her walking home alone. I could have stayed on and went home but I felt it was the only way I could would be able to talk to her, and maybe she would not cast me away. I tried to make it look like I was walking the whole time, but it was painfully obvious that I just got off the bus. It must have been out of the kindness of her heart that she let me walk with her. Now from the school to home is a long walk that should have taken a while but it only felt like minutes. I wanted to walk with her forever. I know to some of you I sound like a punk, but to me that was one of the happiest moments in my life. Just to be near her. I have seen her sometime after that walk and even after boot camp, she was even more beautiful then when I left N.Y.. Something that I thought would be impossible cause who can improve perfection. What has happened to her....... I really don't know. I have heard she has married her love since grade school and they have a happy family and living there lives. I will not put her name in this since it would be rude and disrespectful to mention names without permission from that persom. But if she is reading, " I hope you are happy and blessed I hope the world gives you what your heart desires. I will think of you and smile always. " You may think it is corny for me to say something now but hey at least I said it and hell, none of you will see me anyways except through this site so there. Oh before I go on I would like to give props to some teachers who challenged me and never gave up on me. I will mention there names cause they inspired me to accept nothing but the best from myself and they should be honored. Mr Mercer, Mr Schumacer (sorry if I got your name wrong), Mr. Ventri, Ms Soto(the best history and economics teachers in the world), Ms Makiko Funato( the best Japanese teacher in the world. Thanks to you I was able to meet people and make lasting friends in your home country ), Ms Lubar, Ms Lidden (7th and 8th grade sicence teacher, Mrs Kaplan ( the best 5th grade teacher in the world), Mrs Waterman ( the best fourth grade teacher in the world), Mrs Jacoby (the best and thrid) grade teacher in the world), Mrs Quinn ( the best 2nd grade teacher in the world and the most beautiful teacher ever. Man she had the loviest legs I have ever seen on a teacher), Mrs. Winter ( the other best 2nd teacher in the world) , Mrs Shapero (the best first grade teacher in the world) and My first grade school teacher in the world Mrs Ocean. Also this teacher gave me a chance at times when I did not deserve it. Mr Weiss you challenged my mind and made me see the world the different eyes. You taught me not to except the obvious and to search for the truth. I hope you are looking down at your students and are proud of what we have become. Rest in peace Mr Weiss. Your work here is done. We can take it from here. To be continued.......
