Scott's Story

After graduation from Oviedo I attended and graduated from LaGrange College in LaGrange GA in Dec '80, I moved back to Winter Park for a couple of years working and received a transfer to Key Largo, FL where I lived for 4 years. I have always had a passion for the water however this is where it thrived. I love to Scuba Dive, Fish and this is the perfect place to do it. As a part time job I helped out at a dive shop and they in turn sent me to Captains School to receive my 100 ton ocean operator license so I could run the dive boat. This was a great 4 years. I was transferred to Melbourne FL and hated it. Only lasted 8 months there before moving back to Winter Park for a brief stint before accepting a job that moved me to New Orleans, LA. What a ride! Mardi Gras, Oysters, Crawfish, great food and drink on every corner. the home of the go cup. You know that song New Orleans Ladies by Louisiana Larue, Well I picked one of them up here, Debbie, and after being transferred to Nashville in 1989 I came back and Married her in 1991. She is one fantastic girl and has put up with me for 21 years now. I never thought this would happen! I brought her back to Nashville for about a year and a half before being transferred again back to the Orlando Area. We really enjoyed Nashville, nice people, clean city, lots of things to do. We still maintain many good friends up there. When we moved back to Winter Springs we were there for 7 years before th...Expand for more
e company I had been with was bought by Tyco and they put 17,000 people on the street in 1 day and our whole sales division was chopped. During our stay in Winter Springs my daughter Kaitlyn was born in 1997. I hired on with another company which wanted to relocate me back to the New Orleans area so I accepted and we now live on the North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain in Mandeville. Its a great little town and not far from the city. I'm not with that company any longer but we still are here and in 2004 my son James(Jay) was born. We was a bit of a surprise but cannot imagine a day without him around. We did go through Katrina in 05 and had a little damage to the house. I got a new roof out of it. The company I was with had 5 feet of water and I had many customers and friends that lost everything. I lost a fishing camp I was leasing with 3 other guys but we decided not to rebuild it. over the years I have always had my own consulting and installation company for voice, data, fiber optics and CCTV cameras and wireless data communications but 3 years ago I decided to go all in and jumped off the cliff with m y own full time business. Its been good and bad but mainly good. I landed a job in Eleuthera Bahamas installing communications for a resort this year which has definitely let me know how the upper echelon travel. Debbie, Kaitlyn, Jay and me spend a good deal of time on our boat, fishing and tubing and various other water activities.
