Scott's Story

Life I have a wife and child. My wife's name is Carri, and she is now 40 years old. She currently works for Macy's. My son is 12 years old as of May 22, and he's going into the 7th grade. He's very smart, got the presidential award for academic excellence last year, is currently a 1st Class Scout, and is a whiz at math, which those of you who remember, I WAS NOT!!! However, I finally did get algebra. I just needed a reason to use it, I guess. I hurt my shoulder at work about 5 years ago, and I'm pleased to say it has finally healed. Before that, I worked in the Cable TV industry, technical side. Now, I'm a dad, asst. scoutmaster for my son's troop, a crossing guard and a handyman for those around me that can't do for themselves. People here in Plano mostly CAN'T do for themselves, so I make out pretty good...lol. I used to ride motorcycles, drive too fast and do other not so smart things, but I guess I'm getting "domesticated" now. We have been living in Texas for the last 5 years and it's ok....I mean, I went to basic training and tech school in Texas, and I really don't recall losing anything, but you have to go where the job takes you. My wife got a promotion, so here I am sweating in 100 degree temperatures in May for crying out loud. But, I have a pool, so it's better than say, being dunked in hot oil, I guess. Most of my freinds still live in Florida. My mom is still there, but my...Expand for more
brother, Russell (class of 77) now lives here in Texas about 30 minutes from my house, still working for Rolls Royce. He's been to Iraq THREE times now, but got promoted to a non-deployable position, thank God. And, no, he's not in the army, he's a civilian contractor attached to the 82nd Airbourne. Well, I guess that's about all I CAN tell you. Most of you know I went into the Air Force. I served. I got out. Too cold in North Dakota, and it didn't look like I was going to get out of there any time soon. TDY was a pain, and usually involved being IN pain, so I decided not to make it a career. Anyone who wants to get hold of me, you too will have to shell out money by getting a gold membership. Being also a basically CHEAP person, I didn't want to pay for gold status, but do to circumstances beyond my control, I had to in able to respond to e-mails....LOL. Hope to hear from some of you soon. Scott If I could improve my home, I'd remodel THE KITCHEN and add on a screened in porch. My dream home would be NEW AND NOT HAVE TO BE FIXED ALL THE TIME!!!! LOL. What I learned from Jordan: Hmmm, tough one. There's alot I've learned from him, but most important is what I've been able to do with him, which is spend more time with him than my dad ever did with me. It's a GREAT experience... Style: hmm, Nope, don't do style!! LOL If it still fits, wear it, if it doesn't fit, give it to good will.
