Life April 30, 2006 – Well, four years have passed since I last updated my Classmates.com bio and, since our 20th class reunion is right around the corner, I figured that there’s no better time than now to update it again. As I wrote in my previous bio, after ORHS, I went to the University of Tennessee where I studied marketing and, after finishing in December 1992, I went back to Orlando for a few months, only to find East Tennessee calling me back…and a little ‘country girl’ who I married two years later. As of this May 20th, we will have been married for 11 years and have three great kids: Bryce Chandler (9), Chase Garrett (6), and Blakely Elyse (3). We live outside of Knoxville, TN in a smaller community called Morristown where, ironically, our high school principal, William Spoone, is from. We enjoy it very much, especially since we’re just 4 miles from my wife’s parents, and 6 miles from her grandparents. Plus, my parents just sold their house in Orlando and moved about 15 miles away back in January, and my grandmother and many other relatives are just 25 miles away in Knoxville. So, we are very fortunate to have such a close nit family so close by, something I never had growing up as an only child in Orlando. As for my professional life, I have had a successful career in the tourism industry, from working as a sales manager, national director of sales, and then general manager for the Grand Resort Hotel and Convention Center, the largest hotel in East Tennessee, to finally starting my own business in March 2000, G...Expand for more
