Scott's Story
Life
Well, after school I joined the Marine Corpse but was discharged early due to medical reasons. I moved down south for awhile, spent some time in different places, but alas I am back in Alaska and will be for some time. I had been working in the aviation industry for about 5 years until I got layed off. Then I moved to Kenai and was the Shop Supervisor for a family owned Instrumentation Shop from January 07' to Dec. 12'. I went into the hospital Christmas morning 2010 and spent 6 days there after having abdominal surgery. Now I'm back in Anchorage again. I know I didn't have too many friends in high school but if you remember me and want to drop me a note please do so.
School
It was high school. I wasn't a jock, except for volleyball, I wasn't a nerd, and I wasn't part of the "In crowd". I guess I was somewhere in the middle where I didn't really get noticed by many people. I had crushes on several girls throughout school, most of them didn't even have a clue though.
I don't think I ever had a teacher really inspire me but there were a few that i liked a lot and still run into now and then.
Would I do it all over again? I think most people would say no because they think...Expand for more
they did it right and had a blast. I would have to say yes. I would try to get better grades and make stronger bonds with more of my classmates. I hung out with a small group of people and that was fine at the time but now I know I should have tried to befriend more people that I had commonalities with.
College
I didn't go to college after high school. Maybe if I had gotten better grades I would have. I did go to U.A.A. for a couple of welding classes though. Does that count???
Workplace
I've had some crappy jobs since high school. Let's see first I joined the Marines but then got discharged early for medical reasons. Then I worked for Great Alaska Lawn and Landscaping for a while. Then I worked at Reeve Aleutian Airways before they went under. Then I worked for Mapco (now Holiday) for a little over a year. The I went to Chevron as an assistant manager for almost 2 years. For a couple of years I traveled around the lower 48 building houses for my dad's company. Then I started working for Leading Edge Exhaust Systems, L.L.C., and lastly I worked for a company in Kenai called Industrial Instrument Services Inc. up until Dec. 29th 2011. Now I'm back in Anchorage starting over, yet again.
