Life
Graduated high school and then spent about 7 months at Chabot. I needed to get away so I joined the Marine Corps. Served two tours in Vietnam and got out with the rank of Sargent E-5. I then started driving big rigs local and long distance for 18 years. Went to a trade school full time for 1 year and then took a job at Hayward Dodge as a mechanic and later became a service writer. I had to leave that industry do to a lower back injury. I went back to school and eventually took and passed the state test for Real Estate Appraisers. Worked in that field for 6 years until the present real estate market forced me to retire. I been married to the same women for 41 years. We have two daughters ages 36 and 34 and two grandchildren ages 14 and 6. We all live in Northern California, very near Redding. Picture is of me and my grandson when he ...Expand for more
was 7. I still stay in touch with some of the kids I went to school with and a couple of them have actually stayed hear at my home while passing through Redding or coming hear to play in sporting events. I still have an undying thirst for sports. My grandson is a Division I soccer player and I travel all over central and norther California to watch him play. In the past I have coached soccer and softball and until I injured my back in 2003 was an NCAA Pac 10 softball/baseball umpire. I also have a commercial pilots license and have flown small single and twin engine aircraft all over the western U.S. I still enjoy traveling a lot, and will get into a car and drive for hours just to sight see. But my greatest accomplishments now are spoiling my grandchildren and getting to be a bigger pain in the ass to my kids. Pay back really is sweet. Scott's schools include Hayward High School.
