Scott's Story

Life After 32.5 years with GM, I retired and started working for Harley-Davidson as a Motorcycle Platform Director. I believe that this job is what I was meant to do. I'm using everything that I ever learned from my parents, my friends, my family, in college, graduate school, business, engineering, working on all kinds of car/engine/technology programs, working on legal cases, leading teams, and life experiences to create something new from the ground up. eople are FUN, and I love it (not to mention, I always wanted a job where I could go to work in jeans and t-shirt). I started doing this at age 51, so it goes to show that anything that you really want out of life is possible if you work long enough, hard enough, smart enough, and never quit - it's also never too late for anything. After three attempts, I also finally figured out the marriage thing - it's been working for over 20 years now. And, as I had always hoped, my kids have grown up, moved out, and are doing it better, doing it sooner, and are happier than their parents. I hope that all of you have your own personal definition of success, and figured out the secrets of life long before I did - to all who read this, congratulations on your successes, and best wishes for a long, prosperous, and happy life. Hoping to see you all at the 40th. Scott
