Scott's Story

Workplace After spending 6 Years in the Army I left and tried working for an auto parts store. This got boring and I found a job with the NJARNG as a full time weapon's system mechanic. and now I work on all types of equipment. I now perform a formal inspection for the State Maintenance Manager. I like doing my job and still find things to help others learn about the maintenance field. Military My time in Alaska was 3 years but had fun doing things with my wife & friends. oined the National Guard and got a full time job. Have been happy ever since 1984 when I started, and to this day I work in the same shop. I will be there until I die or retier which ever comes first. I like working on the M-1 Tanks. Well for the past 2 years since I have returned from IRAQ alot has been happening & changing I am about to change my job to get a new one with the prospect of being able to leave the military! Who would have thought after 30 years I am ready to hang it up. About 90% of my old unit is getting ready to deploy again to IRAQ. I hope & feel they will do well, and come back safe.
