Scott's Story

Well I have made it to few places around the world and in the U.S. since leaving Boone. Some of you know I joined the National Guard right out of high school and in 1992 I left to go on Acitve Duty in the Army. I first went to Fort Drum, N.Y. and from there I flew Medevac missions for the unit I was assigned to and fixed helicopters. While at Ft. Drum I spent 7 months in 1995-1996 in the lovely country of Haiti while we occupied it. After that in April of 1996 I spent the next two years in Egypt in the Sinai Peninsula on a peace keeping operation until June of 1998 when I got out of Acitve Duty. After that I joined the National Guard again in Boone and worked full time...Expand for more
for the National Guard. Thanks to a friend of mine in my old unit in Boone, I met my wife Amy Herselius (Class of 90 from Bondurant, IA) in January of 1999 and we were married in April of 2000. We currently live in Mahtomedi, MN, a suburb on the northeast side of the Twin Cities, were I work full-time for the Minnesota National Guard. Amy and I have four wonderful children Lauren-7, Brandon-6, Megan-22 months, and Kaitlyn-6 months. The older kids keep Amy and I busy with hockey, soccer, baseball, and acitvities at church. I am currently in Balad, Iraq proudly serving our country. Drop me a line and say hello it would be good to hear from some old classmates. Scott
