Scotty's Story
I have been a Nurse Anesthetist for 18 years this year (have been a nurse for 26) and work for North Colorado Anesthesia Professionals (NCAP) in northern Colorado. I live in Loveland, CO (the city, not the mountain pass) am married and have a boy and two girls 24, 22 and 17. I try to stay active and am currently swimming to lose some weight and get into better shape. I went to St. Boniface, Darby Jr. High, and Northside High (for one whole semester where I lettered as a manager for the football team) in Fort Smith, AR before moving to Tulsa for one semester and then on to Denver. to Sterling College in Kansas for a year, then the University of Northern Colorado. I changed my major several times, and finally graduated with a BSN nursing degree. I joined the US Air Force, was stationed in San Antonio, TX for 6 years, attained the rank of Captain, and met my beautiful wife who is 2 whole days younger than me. With her support, I decided to leave the USAF and go to grad school where I got my MS in Nurse Anesthesia in 2001. I moved to Kansas City for 5 years, then back to Colorado (my wife is from Wyoming) and have been here ever since. I like to swim, road bike, camp and backpack, shoot my bow at the archery range, read, paint, volunteer for my kids' school activities and just enjoy my family. I speak Spanish and Italian.
