Scott's Story

February 11th, 2016, Hmmm. Economy, election year, another year older. So glad and thankful to my family. Other than trying to spend more time outdoors, I am hopeful to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. May 23rd, 2013 Two years since the last update. Time going by way too fast. Thoughts of occassionally retiring in the next decade. Enjoying life as best I can. Lost a family member back in December. Unexpectedly but all things considering, the best way to pass. Tough to think we have a limited amount of time. Replace the cruiser motorcycle for a sport tourer. Man I love to ride. Regular trips to Yosemite, Tahoe and Mendicino. Job is going well, celebrated 25 years. Hard to believe. Look forward to re connecting with old friends and of course meeting new ones. July 26th, 2011 Another year. Happy to be back in CA. I love Dublin. Weather and proximity to activities, friends and family. The family has been busy settling in and like everyone else too many things going on. The new job position is keeping me busy but I must say I am enjoying it. Kelly continues to work as an Esthetician and continues to remind me about putting sunscreen on and then reapplying. Our son, Shane, is doing well and currently enjoying being nineteen year old. Oh the memories. I continue to ride the motorcycle and lately have been enjoying the company of my brother on the rides. A couple of coast runs up Hwy 1 and one up to the Sierra foothills. Boy to do we have some beautiful country. October 31st, 2010 Reassigned back to San Ramon, CA. We are in transition with selling of home in AL and attempting to find one in Tri Valley area of CA (Dublin / Pleasanton / Livermore). The new job is completely different. Both my wife and son are with me now after finishing up final details of the move from AL. We managed to make a small family trip on the drive back to CA. We ventured off to visit the William Clinton Presidental Library in Little Rock AR, a side trip to the Ozarks and ventured to AZ to see my parents. We continued our trip with a two day stay in Vegas. We caught the Jaberwocee Show (a dance show my son wanted to see). We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Last night on the road was spent in Mammoth Lakes. If you have never been, try to visit this area. Absolutely beautiful. Came through on Tioga Pass and there is nothing like taking in the natural beauty the Sierra's have to offer. Currently living in temporary housing but managing. We are looking forward to reconnecting with friends after a 4.5 year stint in t...Expand for more
he deep south (AL / MS). March 18th, 2010: Tough year for everyone with the economy. We are hanging in there. Attempting to slow down and enjoy the important things - family / fun. Motorcycle trip planned with a group of guys to North Carolina (Smokey Mtn). Cabin rented. I am looking forward to it. Son approaching graduation - seems like we all were graduating not too long ago. Hope to see some old friends this year. Rumor with work is my assignment will be ended here at Pascagoula. Fingers crossed for Northern California (Bay Area). Take care. July 3rd, 2009: Where did the time go. Half way through 2009. Trip planned to make the reunion and the Ice Breaker event. I am looking forward to seeing everyone. I sold the the goldwing this past april. Tough decision. I really enjoyed that bike. I needed a change in style and bought a cruiser. I am currently planning a trip first part of August up to Cape Cod to see some family visiting. I have my son going with me in the car and pulling the trailer. We are hoping to have some good quality time. Safe Holidays. Jan 19th, 2009: Another year. Hard to believe the kids are getting older. Pretty much in denial I guess. Nov 2008 Continue working in Pascagoula, MS and residing in Mobile, AL. This year's hurricane season was active for us. Took a motorcycle trip to San Antonio for a work event. Enjoyed the back roads of the deep south. I had no idea the beauty in this region as well. Also managed to get down to the Florida Keys, Smokey Mtns of North Carolina, and some boating time at Lake Martin (AL). I am attempting to make the reunion next year. Hope to see as many folks as possible. Take care. 2006 Dec. It has been a while since my last update apparently. I need to check this site more often. I accepted a 4 year developmental assignment with the company. Working in Pascagoula, MS and living in Mobile, AL. The job is going well and enjoy what I do (is that possible?). I hope to hear from past friends. Take Care. 2000 Back in Northern CA. After working at Oshmans (3 yrs) right after high school, I entered into the Cal. Maritime Academy and went to sea for 10 years as a Deck Officer for Chevron. I sailed domestic (Valdez, East & West Coast of the U.S as well as the Gulf of Mexico). I am shoreside now with the same company and happy to be with the family everyday. Married for 11 years. 1 son-9 yrs old now - wow, time seems to be accelerating. I am enjoying family life and looking forward to re-establish communication w/past friends. E-mail when you have a chance.
