Sean's Story
I have been serving in the Army for 19 years and 7 months (but who is counting). I served in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II. I was in Saudi/Iraq during Desert Shield/Storm, with an additional deployment to Albania in support of the Bosnian crisis that was going on, I am through no more deployments for me. I am in the Chemical Warfare/emergency response Field and am currently stationed in South Korea. I will be fully retired in 4 months (May 09) I cant wait, 20 years in the Army is more than anyone should endure. I have had many memorable experiences in the Army I got to travel the world we lived in Germany for 9 years on three separate tours, that gave us the opportunity to travel all over Europe. ctive on your own country and home. I look forward to when I can finally settle down and stay in one place and not move every 3 years. I have been happily married for 17 years to Amy, we met while I was stationed in North Carolina and have 2 teenage sons Tristin-18 and Brenden-16. last year my family and I purchased a country home in Nappanee, Indiana (Amy's home) that is where I will be living once I retire from the Army. I recently went home on leave for 30 days (July 08) now I am back in Korea to finish out the last few months of my Army career. Unfortunately I am on a dependent restricted tour so I will be doing it alone. I pass the time by hiking and preparing for civilian life.
