Sean's Story
I left Killeen High School in the Spring of 73. KHS was very gracious to allow me to leave prior to my 17th birthday because they were tired of disciplining me for kissing my girlfriend in the hallway. Actually I am sure there were other reasons, but that's the story they used. Most of my group of friends were also extended this offer, and I see very few of them here on this site today.
I drifted around for a few years, hitchhiking around the country until settling in Idaho for a couple of years. There I decided it was time to clean up my act and start thinking about where I was going in life. I was 19 at the time. I worked the entire time there as a cook at Sambos before heading back to Killeen. Once I got back there I had a chance to work for an Air Conditioning Contractor. I stayed in Texas until 1989, living mostly in Austin and some in Dallas. Got married and divorced. Had no children and no ties to Texas, so I figured I could live anywhere I wanted. So I moved to Denver. I stayed in Denver for 3 years before my job took me to Portland OR. In 1994 I moved to Tacoma WA and have been here since.
I met Pam, my wife, in 2000. We were married in 2001. Her youngest son had a son in 2004, and Jeffery is a great joy in my life.
My present job is as a Building Commissioning Authority. Basically, my role is to assure the integrity of the construction process as it relates to the Mechanical Systems on construction projects. I am also studying to be a Certified Energy Manager where I will perform Energy Audits and make recommendations.
