Life After graduating from Mayfield High School, I left Las Cruces for what I thought were bigger and better things at The University of Maryland. Things didn't work out as planned and I returned to 'Cruces where I attended New Mexico State University. While at NMSU, I became a proud member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. I had a blast and made some incredible lifelong friends. After changing majors several times I finally figured out what I wanted to do with my life. I joined Air Force ROTC and eventually graduated in 1990 with a degree in engineering and a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. I attended pilot training in Phoenix, AZ and have been stationed in Albuquerque, North Dakota, Texas, England and Washington D.C. I've flown the KC-135R which is like a giant airborne gas station used to refuel other planes. I've also flown the T-1A which is a converted business jet used to teach pilot candidates during Air Force pilot training. My last flying assignment was in the C-32A, which is a costomized Boeing 757 used to fly the Vice President, First Lady, Secretary of State, and other high ranking government officials.
