Sean's Story
Life
I am currently a full-time Computer Information Systems faculty member at Ivy Tech State College in Indianapolis. I graduated in 1987 with a BA in Music Education from Glenville State College. Soon after graduation, I moved to Indianapolis where the job climate held far better prospects. I had not ventured far down the secondary education road before realizing that I had taken the wrong path. It was at this time I decided to turn my computer hobby into a career. I became a Computer Operations Manager for a small media research company while returning to school at Ivy Tech to earn my AAS in CIS. r law firm. Upon graduation from Ivy Tech, I was invited back as an adjunct faculty member, teaching Hardware/Software Troubleshooting and Intro to Microcomputers. Last fall I moved from adjunct to full-time. I continue to teach the Hardware/Software and Intro classes as well as Network Fundamentals and Microcomputer Databases using Access 2002.
My wife, Genice, also works in the computer field, having developed an interest in computers after realizing that would be the best (only?) way to spend time with me! While we have no children, we are thankful that our 3 cats have graciously tolerated us living with then over the years. When I can pull myself away from the computer, I enjoy reading alternate history and listening to rockapella music.
