Sean's Story

It has been a long and winding road. I'm happy to say that CCHS was not the highlight of my life. I do look back and miss some of the the people. I look back and wish I could give myself a little advice. I wonder where everyone went; who grew and who stayed the same. And I hope that I've gone further then people expected. I have fond memories. The bad doesn't seem quite so horrible. The good stands out. So this is me now: I have an art gallery/event space in Denver. It is my baby and much too often my life. I'm working to open a restaurant--hopefully in the spring of '09. I have two non-profits in the development. I am still single. No, not gay (some of you know better.) I can't really tell you why I've never married. Maybe I'm still hung up on ***** from school (feel free to insert whatever name you'd like.) I was in a 10 year relationship that recently ended. ably know who you are and should be ashamed for letting time and distance get between us. I am. I don't make it to Crowley County much anymore. Our family house burnt down a couple years ago and I'm not very close to my extended family. I do have a niece and nephew in Sugar City. I try to see them often. I feel humbled by the weight of the county. It seems erie--almost cursed-- to me. And yet I feel a warmth and deference. I am a Mustang and a Charger. And no one beats up on my hometown but me. I think that it has shaped me; a little bit country, a little be rock-and-urban-role. Thus my existence in Downtown Denver. And why I wear my cowboy boots in NYC. I've travelled a bit. Meet a lot of interesting people. Found some trouble. Survived. Looking for more.
