Hello Class, (1972) 5.18.2009
I am Servietta Jones and I went to School with Earl Tatum, at Robert Fulton, back in the day I remember he played Abraham Lincoln(because he was the tallest in the class that was in 3rd grade. I went to Holmes school in 6th grade, and 7th and 8th at Traphagen Jr High school that's the school Denzel Washington went to I walk down the isle with him during graduation, and Denzel signed my autograph book, back in the day. I have always loved music, and I sang in the concert choir,teacher Mr Liso, and I sang in the Gospel choir and Mr John Paxton, was the teacher. at age 15 I was a dancer in West Side Story, at mount vernon high. at age 16 I joined the Community Ensemble and I sang with that choir for many years at age 17, I recorded Precious Lord on the second Album with the Community Ensemble I sang with Rev. Cutis Brown and the Agaition choir. I had a Singing Group and we sang Gospel Music, Our name was the Jr Starlette's of Mount Vernon. so all my life I have been singing to the Glory of God, and now God our Creator get's the Glory I am not ashame of the true Gospel, why because he is a Keeper, and I want to be Keep, and I want to enjoy praising and giving him the honor.I am to blessed to be stress. and so should you all.God bless and keep you all in Jesus name, I remember when I was going to school I didn't talk much I did a lot of observing I see now it was not my time to speak. Now is the time to set your self aside, Now is the to set down on your pride, Now is the time that I say Hello I do Together, If by chance we should meet we will be no stranger on the street you'll say hello and I'll say Now is the time. I wrote that in 1983and had it published in the poety book Oh by the way My name is Servietta aka(shortie)I have Community Ensemble CD'S on sale and Community Ensemble Reuion 2006 Book. my address is hope to make it to the next class reuion I Graduated June 1972 they forgot to put my picture in the year book I was so hurt, but thank God I brought my class picture's so I will put my Then and Now Picture take care by the way Darlene Sewar...Expand for more

The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Denzel Washington, because I don't think he remember's me.
My current age is 55. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old. I was so completely naveve.
My first job was at Purlie Tot Play Ground, where I got paid to Watch Children in the play ground. What I remember most about it is A lot of children came to the playground in the summer and they would get there early I was 17,years old and that is how I got my class ring, class pictures , and my year book.
I servietta remember at age 4 year's old singing in my Grandma's yard "He's got the Whole World in his Hand. By Mahlia Jackson (way cool)

I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right. I still had business
office Job I worked for "Olimplic Trail" Bus company in Irvington N.J. As a clerk typist and filing Clerk.
I had a lot of postive teachers in my life that had trust and belived that i could do it in second grade I was at robert fulton there was a play called I have a green thumb My teacher Mrs Rader belived I could study the part and be the star of the play my mother said don't you worry she will learn all her lines and so I did , my mother was a Semtress and she made a beautiful pink pooker dotted dress with 2 layer ad I din't have much to say But I do remember saying at the end I have a Green thumb and every one in the auditormium began to clap and stand up and my mon and dad stood they were some kind of proud of me that day. and I had to smile and laugh because I did it. thank you mrs Rader for believing in me.
