Shane's Story
My life thus far has been an unforgettable journey. I have experienced some of the most amazing things, and met some pretty amazing people. I got into some stupid trouble when I was at the end of high school. I feel that was the turning point in my life. I wasn't as you would say, "an Ideal citizen" back then. Not too long after that I went to Apollo College for Dental Assisting. I actually went back to teach the program within two years of graduation. I then became a single parent of a 2 year old daughter. I moved near Springfield Missouri where I could raise her in a small town environment. got to be too much as a single parent and full time student, so I had to put my education on hold for a while. I went to work at a dental management company for approximately 5 years. During that time I transferred from Missouri to Indianapolis for a better position. That is where I met my wife. We have been married for 5 years. We have a 3 year old together, and a 13 year old. I left working at the dental management company to teach full time, and hated it. I was also teaching at another college as an independent contractor. I have spent the last year and a half in private practice and have gone back to the dental management company. My wife is in school finishing her degree, when she gets out, I will go back. I believe that you MUST always be learning.
