Shane's Story
I though I would be racing in the NEXTEL Cup by now!. My family and friends thought that was a realistic goal. As it turns out, I didn't quite make it to the top, but I had a lot of fun along the way!
Cars and racing have always been my passion, although I have slowed down a bit with age. A high point was when I was crowned the 1987 IMCA (International Motor Contest Association) Modified National Champion. I met my beautiful wife Caralee in 1987. s a Respiritory Therapist at Trinity Hospital (Franciscan) in R.I. I have survived 3 mergers and work for Corporate Express in Davenport. We enjoy spending our spare time together. I have a 1970 mustang mach 1 that I still tinker with and take to the local cruise-ins. My brother Sam and I married sisters. We are all best friends. I still have my lifelong friend from junior high Bill Enlow. He has a 64 NOVA and joins me at the cruise-ins. As Caralee and I move through mid portion of this journey, we just try to enjoy every day life.
