Shannon's Story

Life After High School I went back East to be a nanny for a little while. Which turned out to be a big mistake. I would never recommend that to anyone. I went to school after returning and got my Medical Assisting Certificate, and then went to work at a doctor's office in Orem. During school I met my husband, David Nuttall and we were married in March of 1990 in the SLC Temple. We lived in Provo for two years before moving to Price, Utah. That was the end of the earth after living in Orem. I worked at Castleview Hospital and for several different Doctors in Price for the seven years that we lived over there. In March of 1994 we had our first daughter, Haley. In June of 1996 after we bought our first home we had our second daughter, Emily. Then ten months later in April of 1997 we had our third daughter, Ashley. She was quite a surprise but we were happy to have her since she ended up being our last child. After having Haley I was pretty much a stay at home mom. I occasionally worked when I was needed but for the most part I just stayed home. In May of 1999 we moved over the ...Expand for more
mountain to Fairview, Utah. My husband grew up on a small ranch in Milburn, just north of Fairview and we built us a home there just north of his parents. We really enjoy it here in the country. In 2003 I got my Emergency Medical Technician Certificate and have been running with the North Sanpete Ambulance Service here in Sanpete County as an EMT-I. I really enjoy that. I recently went back to work part-time at an IHC clinic working as a Medical Assistant and for the school district here in North Sanpete. Dave works here in Fairview for the city. We really enjoy living in the country away from all the craziness of the city. Alot of people in our area have to drive a couple of hours each day to work. It's great to be able to live and work in the same area. Life after high school has been great. I have been really lucky to find a great husband and have three beautiful daughters. I'm finding that getting older isn't alot of fun. But I wouldn't change anything and I wouldn't want to go back and do it again. High School was fun but life after has been so much more fun.
