Shannon's Story
Life
I currently live with my husband and son in Salmtal Germany. My husband is in the USAF and we have lived here for the last 2 years with 2 more to go, unless we decide to extend. I am currently the director of the Value Added Tax/Utility Tax Avoidance Program here at Spangdahlem AB.
We love to travel, but because the Euro is so much stronger than the dollar, we aren't able to do it as often as we would like. nly about 30 minutes away) Holland (Amsterdam is as crazy as you have heard!), and London, which has taken my heart completly and will forever be my favorite city in the world. This fall we plan to visit either Spain or Italy, and we also have a weekend trip to Paris in the works for sometime soon since it's only about 4 hours away.
I love it in Europe, but I miss american conveniences like Target and being able to shop on national holidays and Sundays if I need to. Oh, and being able to actually FIND the things I need without waiting a week for them to be shipped to me!
