Shannon's Story
Life
Well I turned 30 in November which is an odd age because it is the age when I think I should be all grown up but I really don't feel all that grown up yet. Of course with two kids and a husband I don't suppose I have much choice but to be grown up sometimes. I haven't moved too much from where I graduated high school and now live in Fruitland, Idaho. I work at home doing medical transcription which is a great fit for me. I enjoy work and I enjoy play and life is pretty good for me.
School
Well I have two schools listed in my profile (I never went to Sedro Woolley High but listed it so I could look for some long lost friends who I thought may not have listed themselves in the middle school section). Anyway, my biggest crush when I went to Cascade Middle School was Aaron Ledbetter (I've seen his name here, hello Aaron). There were a few others but his is the only name I can remember. I never really had any crushes in high school other than my current husband who I met my senior year. Mrs. Good was my biggest inspiration ...Expand for more
in Weiser High School, not because of anything she did in particular, just that she always had the kindest words to say. I was never that active in after school activities, or school in general, and often wish now that I look back that I had done more and been more crazy in school, maybe then I would have more interesting things to say here.
Workplace
Well I've done a little of this and a little bit of that. Luckily I never had to flip burgers for a living but during high school and for a little while after I waitressed, mainly Chinese food. After high school I joined the Navy but was discharged during boot camp (long story, short career). Then I sold insurance for a while which was a total bust for me. Then I went to work in a hospital in the laundry/housekeeping department and then FINALLY in the office. Now I work at home doing medical transcription from home which is a great fit for me. I don't know if it is my life-long career choice or not, but for now while the kids are young and need me it is nice to be home for them.
